Message	of around $100 to repair the wheel. " Simply tell him where that estimate came from, so he can get it fixed there. If you can't give him that information, then you mislead him, (I'm not accusing you of lying, you may have gotten some idea somewhere, but he apparently based his buy on your word), and you OWE HIM A FULL REFUND, INCLUDING ALL SHIPPING COSTS.
